A little bragging...

I am the proud mom of 2 State level performers.

JGrace tried out for the State Honor Chorus and was chosen. She performed with 150 kids from all over the state at the Music Teachers Convention. She sang in German, Latin and Hebrew. It was so awesome to hear public school kids singing songs like Alleluia Fanfare; Pie Jesu (Merciful Jesus); L'dor vador (a prayer of praise to God).

T is a fantastic percussionist. He performed before a judge at the district Ensemble Contest in a percussion trio. They won first place which means that the trio will advance to the State level competition in April.



He played the vibraphone (2 mallets in each hand!), cow bells, and suspended cymbals for this piece. I love to watch him play.

Haircut!!

This is my hair that I have been growing to donate.

It had to have 8 inches to cut.

I have 2 pony tails to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. They make wigs for people with cancer.

I love my new hair. It curls up naturally like this.

You Can't Stop the Beat

Last night I was in the talent show at my school. Me and 8 of my friends practiced for several weeks. We did a dance of "You Can't Stop the Beat" from Hairspray. Our dance teacher, named Stephanie made up the dance. We practiced at her house and at school during recess. If you can tell, our costume is a poodle skirt from the 50's. The girls names are Ava, Grayson, Anna, Abby, Rachel, Meredith, Jenna, Sarah, and me. We call ourselves the 'Nifty Nine'.

A New Collection

This week I was at one of my friends house and she was showing me stamps that she collected. When I got home, I decided that I wanted to collect stamps as well. I looked at our mail and tore off a few.

Then I put them in a bowl of water to get them off the paper.

After I tore them off and let them dry, I put them

aside in an envelope.

Later at the store , I bought a binder and some self-adhesive pages.

Then, I decorated the front with stickers.

Finally, I put the stamps in the binder.
